The current traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods mainly include the following three aspects. Oral Chinese medicine: according to the syndrome differentiation of the organs, the kidney, heart and spleen, heart and kidney, liver and spleen, spleen and kidney treatment, etc.;acupuncture treatment: scalp acupuncture, scalp acupuncture plus body acupuncture, water acupuncture, tongue acupuncture, seven-star acupuncture therapy; comprehensive therapy (acupuncture + behavior intervention + massage), the main function is to open the orifice and wake up the mind, adjust the meridians and qi of the internal organs, dredge the meridians, and coordinate the body's yin and yang balance. There is no simple application of pediatric massage to treat this disease. Pediatric Tui Na therapy is non-invasive. Therefore, it can be accepted by most children, including children with autism who may be sensitive to tactile stimuli.
In the past, our wonderful plan to study the influence of Chinese medical treatment (pediatric massage) on the intellectual development (including cognitive ability, emotions and problem behaviors, etc.) of normal children between three and six years old. Since 2014, "Miracle hands to Wisdom" has served more than 50 normal children, ranging in age from 3 to 6 years old. Studies have shown that after three months, children who have not received massage treatment have significant improvements in their concentration, inhibition, language and non-verbal memory, as well as their mood and sleep problems. All the differences are statistically significant. Recently, the Chinese University of Hong Kong’s School of Chinese Medicine and the School of Education have cooperated again to serve more than 30 autistic children. The results of statistical analysis show that pediatric massage has a significant effect on children’s language communication skills, cognitive and social skills.
Starting in 2018, Miracle hands to Wisdom launched a new service. The first stage of the Pediatric Massage will be handled by Physician Zhang Jianguo (professional consultant) of the Chinese University School of Medicine and his medical team. The treatment takes three months, once or twice every week for 20 minutes. Parents are responsible for the second stage of Pediatric massage, so that home treatment can be implemented and the relationship between parents and children can also be improved. This treatment takes three months, three times a week, 20 minutes each time. Doctor Zhang Jianguo also holds lectures to demonstrate pediatric massage. After that, he and his medical team will personally guide and contact the parents. Parents can also refer to the online teaching of pediatric massage (the website will be provided later) for learning. The website will also record the number of times they perform massage for their children. If it is found that the frequency is insufficient, the medical team will contact the parent.
