Good news! Team RABI is expanding!
Our RABI family of tutors and support staff are known for teaching kids social skills. What's new this time round?
We're taking care of you, parents!
We're launching a new program called REAP (Resilience Education for Parents of Autistic children)! Our new team members are social workers who will show carers like you techniques in resilience and handling pressure.
All sessions for this season of REAP
Groups A - E: 21/4, 25/4, 28/4, 2/5, 5/5, 9/5, 12/5, 16/5
Group A: 10:00am – 11:00am (full)
Group B: 11:30am – 12:30pm
Group C: 1:30pm – 2:30pm (full)
Group D: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Group E: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Groups F - H: 28/4, 2/5, 5/5, 9/5, 12/5, 16/5, 19/5, 23/5
Group F: 1:30pm – 2:30pm
Group G: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
Group H: 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Our 8-session service consists of:
(1) 4 group counseling sessions
(2) 3 mutual support sessions, where carers learn from and encourage one another
(3) 1 emotional release workshop session
Each session take about 1 hour and will be held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

This service is essentially free. To ensure 85% attendance, we require a refundable deposit of $500, which will be refunded in full to participants who attend at least 7 out of 8 sessions.

The Speech Therapy Department under The Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Faculty of Medicine and CUHK College of Education will hold an [Autism Intervention: Alternative Treatment with Social Robot] on August 28. Speakers include Professor So Wing Chee, Professor Lee Yuet Sheung, Professor John-John Cabibihan and the Rotary Club of HK Island West Hong Chi Morninghope School. They will explain the communication barriers of children with autism and share the application of social robots. The details of the activities are as follows:

New website!
The establishment of a social enterprise is always different from the academic research done by our beloved founder. In order to share new ways we serve children with autism, our website is revamped and launches today to assist more children with autism.
Our new website is called star-autism.com: STAR is the abbreviation of our social enterprise (Science and Technology for Autism Remediation Limited), and "autism" is the keyword that will help parents of autistic children with autism, when they search for guidance online, find and remember us.
The parent briefing session of Pediatric Massage: Miracle-Hands-To-Wisdom ended successfully! The team is very grateful to the two mothers for their valuable sharing! I sincerely hope that the new Miracle-Hands-To-Wisdom parents will learn joyfully and their children will flourish! See you in the summer!
More than 30 parents participated in our free pediatric massage workshop at CUHK. The last workshop was on April 6. Parents who have already registered please participate on time.
Pediatric Massage: Miracle-Hands-To-Wisdom Summer program 2019 is now open for registration!
The Miracle-Hands-To-Wisdom Pediatric Massage Program is suitable for children with autism between three to six years of age. Dr. Zhang (professional consultant) of the Chinese University School of Medicine and his medical team. Our pediatric massage program has been implemented for four years. The purpose is to explore whether pediatric massage will have improve the health of ordinary children, as well as therapeutic effect on children with special needs. Past research results have shown that pediatric massage enhances the cognitive ability of normal children and improves the social skills, diet and sleep patterns of autistic children. This year, we will improve and continue the current plan to provide pediatric massage for autistic children and educate parents to perform pediatric massage at home.
We warmly invite your child to receive our services between 17 June and 30 August.
Service hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, 30 minutes per session, twice a week (for example, Monday at 10 am and Thursday at 5 pm)

RABI is starting school next week! Robot Little Star will accompany more than 40 children in this nine-month course to teach children to enjoy social communication skills. Parents who have received the admission confirmation email should bring their children to CUHK on time. At the same time, RABI services have also been extended to special child care centres, mainstream primary schools, mainstream secondary schools, and special schools, hoping to help autistic children learn and grow through robots.
